Passing Thoughts Of A Mad Priest ( on visiting active volcanos )

I do not like what this says about me but my first thought on hearing that a whole load of people needed to be rescued from White Island was "how dare they put the lives of first responders at risk by casually day-tripping to the most active volcano in New Zealand just days after seismologists had warned that it was about to erupt.

What separates us from the rest of creation is that we are the only species who will risk our own lives trying to save the lives of the selfishly stupid who place themselves in danger for no other reason than for kicks.
