Apple have recently released an update to their operating system called "Mountain Lion." They are offering a free upgrade to those people who have recently purchased a new Mac with the old system installed. So, as I had recently purchased (thanks to the generosity of many of my readers) a new MacBook Pro, I applied for it. I quickly received a reply turning down my request because I had not purchased my computer from an "authorised reseller."

It's a weird beast this capitalism. It seems so full of contradictions to me. It demands free markets and takes advantage of them, even if it means the impoverishment, even starvation, of billions of people, but, when it doesn't suit, it completely ignores the concept and restricts the market with more tightly bound ropes than you would find in "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Basically, they are all greedy bastards.
