WHY SHOULD THE DEVIL HAVEALL THE GOOD MUSIC? (5) — 3 Comments

  1. Thanks, MP! 🙂 [I was almost afraid my particular choice here was going to be considered too schlocky 70s to make the cut. ;-X FYI, I played saxophone at this time, so I learned that intro!]

  2. I hadn’t listened to your suggestion for many years and I remembered it as being middle of the road and bland. But in fact it’s a very good, well crafted, well performed record. One of the good things about growing old is that you don’t have to hate stuff just because it isn’t regarded as “in” by your peers.

  3. One of the things about growing old, is that I can hear certain songs, and BAM!, I’m 18 again. I have a visceral feeling of being 18, and thinking “They GET It! These guys get it! (and ergo, they get me)”

They still do. RIP, England Dan…
