I’LL STAND BEFORE THE LORD OF SONG WITHNOTHING ON MY TONGUE BUT HALLELUJAH

From THE VANCOUVER SUN:

St. John's Anglican Church in Squamish is arranging a special concert of Leonard Cohen love songs, served with wine and roses, tomorrow night, in honour of Valentine's Day.

David Dranchuk, the Anglican official organizing the event, says Cohen's music is "preoccupied" with love, and often brings out its spiritual dimension.

The church hall will be decorated with longstemmed roses and candles for the Cohen love concert. People will be able to drink wine during the performance.

COMMENT: Drink wine? What, no wacky backy?

Below is a photo of St. John's priest, the Reverend Wendy Eyre-Gray (she is the lady on the far left). She certainly has the look of a Leonard Cohen fan about her. I wonder what she remembers well from the Chelsea Hotel.
