Actions And Their Pesky Consequences

One of the main reasons why police are not routinely armed in England is because if a drunk, who had just failed a breathalyser test, attacked one of them, stole his taser and then pointed it at him, there would be a very high likelihood that the drunk would get himself shot. So, our unarmed police have to put up with all sorts of shit when they are out on the streets, especially from the youth, whilst also putting up with the Guardian and its middle-class liberal readership, accusing them of brutality.

Mind you, I come from a generation that was brought up to accept that actions have consequences and if you pick a fight with someone and you end up getting hurt, you don't go whingeing about it afterwards.
