Stolen Kiss

George Mendonsa, the sailor who was captured in a famous photograph kissing a woman in Times Square amidst celebrations of the end of the second world war, has died. He was 95.

It's sad but, at least, Mendonsa (who did not know the woman, Greta Friedman, from Eve when he just walked up and accosted her) will not now have to stand trial on historical sexual harassment charges.
