Passing Thoughts Of A Mad Priest

After an evening watching British television at the moment, I feel like I've sat through a diversity lecture rather than having been entertained. Even the makers of "Grantchester" managed to turn a lightweight detective programme set in the mid-1950s into a call for the UK to stay in the EU. At the end of the first episode of the new series, they gave up altogether on any pretence of there being a plot and just had one of the actors standing on a stage in front of a microphone telling us all that we should all be one people. This is a sentiment I agree with to a sensible extent but I really hate being told what to think and how to live my life by a bunch of media-luvvies when all I want is to watch the good guys catching the bad guys and making sure they receive the comeuppance they justly deserve.
