Justin, But No Justice

Can anyone tell me what the actual underlying difference is between refusing to bake a cake for a same gender wedding because of one's nasty, little, bigoted faith and refusing to marry a same gender couple because of the same? Personally, like Jesus, I believe that everybody should be subject to the law of the land, but I cannot help feeling some sympathy for the homophobic, Northern Irish baker who ended up in court for his hateful actions (or, to be precise, lack of acton) when the head of the established church of his nation can refuse a same gender couple's reasonable request without fear of any legal action being taken against him.

"You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly about you when he said: ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me...'"
