From MALAYSIAN DIGEST:
At a service this week at at the Rabboni Centre in Garankuwa, north of Pretoria, South African pastor, Lesego Daniel, encouraged his congregation to eat grass to be "closer to God." He then stamped and kicked his followers.
The controversial cleric has conducted a series of outrageous acts in the name of religion (previously he has told large crowds to fall asleep on his command and attempted to heal a woman from a 'demonic' pregnancy), but members of his congregation were quick to defend his methods.
Unisa law student Rosemary Phetha, 21, said: "Yes, we eat grass and we're proud of it beacuse it demonstrates that, with God's power, we can do anything."
She claimed that eating grass healed a sore throat that she had been battling for more than a year.
Her testimony was shared by stroke victim and 27-year-old Doreen Kgatle, from Garankuwa.
She said: "I could not walk but soon after eating the grass, as the pastor had ordered, I started gaining strength and an hour later I could walk again."
Well I suppose eating it is better for the health of your lungs than smoking it.
