From SOFIA NEWS AGENCY:
The auction for the expensive Rolex watch of Bulgaria's Plovdiv metropolitan bishop Nikolay fell through as bidders failed to show up on Sunday. Bishop Nikolay moved to auction his notorious watch to cover the church's electricity bills. The start price for the Rolex was set at BGN 11,600, or some EUR 6,000.
Plovdiv bishop Nikolay is the youngest metropolitan bishop in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and is known for his hardline stance in matters of religion.
Well he certainly has a competition winning "hardline stance in matters of religion" stare, if this photograph is anything to go by. I bet he practices for hours in front of the mirror everyday.
