THE POSSIBILITY OF OPPOSING INFALLIBILITIES

Will God take away Joseph Ratzinger's infallibility when he stops being Benedict XVI at the end of February? If not will it mean that when the new pope is elected there will, for the first time ever (because popes were not infallible until late in the nineteenth century) be two infallible people on earth at the same time?

WTF will happen if the previous pope disagrees with the new pope? Will it result in a catastrophic paradox that, like matter occupying the same space as anti-matter, will result it one almighty explosion that will blow us all to kingdom come?

I think we best play safe and leave the planet now.

  1. “Will God take away Joseph Ratzinger’s infallibility when he stops being Benedict XVI at the end of February?”

I would think this would be the RC understanding.
