There comes a time in even the most stubborn curmudgeon's life when he has to admit that it's over. I'm not sure what my loss of faith in and love for the Church of England and the god of the Church of England will mean for OCICBW... in the long run but I have altered the blurb slightly. My new definition of myself is, as with most stuff that ends up on my blog, both tongue in cheek and also very serious indeed.

I no longer feel I have a real home in any denomination, and the ugliness of this election has stripped me of much of my security at St. Pat’s.
I think this is part of my larger feeling of an evolutionary leap – we are those who are grieved and heartsick that our churches could not keep up with our spirits, with our understanding of God. Maybe we need a church? 😀
