After two weeks of searching, today the MadGang found a puppy we think will be up to the incredibly difficult task of filling the enormous hole in our lives created by Glenna's untimely and sudden death.
Below is Quiz. A six week old border collie boy from champion sheep dog trial stock.
Two weeks tomorrow we will be returning to the farm where he was born to bring him to his new home in County Durham.
Doesn't he look handsome?
Yes, very handsome. I am so happy for you. He looks very intelligent…but then he must be to have chosen you and Mrs. Madpriest to adopt. Blessings.
Full marks for Quiz! Beautiful little guy.
What Jay said is true. We never pick our dogs, they pick us. I’m glad you found this adorable little fellow.
Oh, MP, adorbz to DIE! 😀 (Will his ears stay down, or will they go up? I’m partial to flopsy-ears…but then I grew up w/ Labs)
So happy for you. May Quiz have a long life-time of trying to figure you out. ;-p
[So taking away the Name log-in is a permanent thing? }:-? ]
I was getting hundreds of spam comments everyday, JCF. So I’ve had to stop the anonymous option for a while.
Congratulations! He’s a cutey. We went through the same thing a few years ago when our 16 year old dog ( who tried so hard to be human) left us. The new dog never replaces the old one, but s/he helps fill the void. And the dog we still had really missed her old companion. So she’s really happy to have a little sister (most of the time).
He’s adorable! I’m so glad you found each other. May his reign be a long and happy one.
What a handsome boy! BP says, “it doesn’t lessen your sorrow, but will deepen your joy!”
What a lucky little fellow to join the MadGang. Love to all.
Already has his nose to the ground! Very inquisitive in deed!!! Lovely pup!
Wha a handsome little chap.
Oh, the preciousness. Too much! Too much!
(I want to cuddle him so bad.)
Great pup. SHould grow to be a wonderful dog.
I am in puppy love.
Jonathan, he is absolutely magnificent! May you all enjoy many happy years (human and dog) together! How wonderful that he will have a loving home.
What a wonderful puppy!
Looking forward to many prize photos!
Welcome to the mad gang Quiz. Please know that you are getting a great loving pack to join. And it is sort of an odd one too: some of your mates are cats, and some are, well, humans. Live and love Quiz.

Adorable puppy… glad you have brought him into your family. I haven’t been reading blogs as much as I used to so didn’t know you had lost your dog Glenna in October… so very sorry… no words. But I’m glad you have opened your heart to another dog. I’m sure you will have lots of love to share with him.
You’re unemployed and you beg for money but you took in something that costs money every day? Wow. Last time I take a clergyman asking for money seriously!
Who had an even 24 hours for Sad Brad to show up? [Do you think he’s turned his OCD/schizo voices/both into a program to troll on (exact!) daily basis? Amazingly pathetic.]
He’s adorable. Maelo wants to come up to Newcastle to see him. Glad you are able to find some joy again while still missing Glenna badly.
congratulations! but, sob, how I would love to have another Border Collie! Take good care of him and teach him lots of stuff! When he get a bit older, be sure to tell him he has an ‘auntie’ in New England,
