Hoorah, me hearties! It’s the new Bellowhead album. It almost crosses the line that separates clever from pretentious – but not quite. Jon Boden’s vocals are sometimes too far back in the mix for my liking. But, overall, another brilliant, raucous slab of in yer face folk music from the English tradition mashed up with anything that takes their fancy for the discerning twenty first century listener (or some such bollocks).
