DON’T CALL ME YOUR GRACE; CALL ME MASTER!

From Daryl:

Hello Rev MadPriest,

Are you old enough to remember Roger Delgado as The Master?  (I should say: “Mr Magister”, from Doctor Who and the Daemons)
Murder, sedition, hypnotism, black magic… he’s a natural for any kind of senior clerical post 😉

DON’T CALL ME YOUR GRACE; CALL ME MASTER! — 3 Comments

  1. MP — prayer request: our home (where we are not present at the moment) is under pre-emptive evacuation orders because of a forest fire of about 10,000 acres. We would lose some memory stuff and a bunch of other stuff – stuff. Neighbors would loose much more. Pray for fire fighters and that they NEVER risk their lives to save “stuff” — and that our neighbors get important things out

  2. We watched Dr. Who faithfully in Denver. It was aired on our PBS station (who bought it from Brit TV) on Sunday mornings. Thank goodness I was Catholic when I was young so that we could go to Saturday services when the Broncos played extra early (on the east coast). I would sit transfixed to the TV for the entire 2 hours (we watched a 4-episode story in one time block). When they got done with the episodes they had purchased, they’d start all over again. The PBS station hated buying it because it was the most expensive show they purchased, but when they said that during a pledge drive, a huge pile of Dr. Who fans filled their phone lines with donations. Then we showed up en masse to answer the phones. Every year after that, Dr. Who was the only show that completely paid for itself within the pledge drive during its air-time. Roger Delgado was a little scary-good at playing the role. So smarmy…

  3. As long as we don’t have to see Jon Sim (sp?) again.

[Prayers for you, susankay, for safety amidst the flames. Safety for all, may the fires cease in God’s Good Time.]
