BILLY GRAHAM RALLIES FOR INJUSTICE

The Rev. Billy Graham urged North Carolina voters Wednesday to support an amendment to the state constitution banning gay marriage, a move that an observer said was highly unusual but another said was in keeping with the minister's moral beliefs.

"Watching the moral decline of our country causes me great concern," said Graham. "I believe the home and marriage is the foundation of our society and must be protected."

His complete statement about Amendment One will be part of full-page ads slated to appear in 14 North Carolina newspapers throughout the weekend.

  1. I’m not entirely sure the elevator goes to the top floor for Ol’ Billy anymore. His @sshole kids may be pulling the strings.

  2. “Watching the moral decline of our country causes me great concern,” said Graham.

I’d say Billy don’t-a-know-what-his-eyes-a-seein’ these day. Time for new glasses.

From my verandah, from my ol’ rockin’ chair, what I see is that since the sixties, despite Billy’s efforts, (and conservative governments) the (real) morality of the USA has actually increased, probably dramatically. Why? Don’t know. But thank God for it.

  3. Urrrggghhhhh. I have yet to see specific ways in which extending the word marriage to include same sex couples threatens marriage. From what does marriage need to be protected? Uurrrrggghhhh

  4. Gays have been threatening my marriage for over six years now. I spend far too much time talking to them on the Internet and my wife gets pissed about it.

  5. Marriage is under attack by gays because they might be, you know, monogamous and faithful for life. That would show up the many who are neither and they do not want to look bad. I think it is that simple.
