HOMOPHOBIA OUTBREAK IN WELSH CHURCH

A vicar in Wales has resigned over the issue of gay marriage, claiming some members of the Anglican communion - including elements of the Church in Wales - have become more homophobic.

The Church in Wales said it a "matter of regret" for clergy to resign over an issue yet to be resolved by the church.

It's a much bigger matter of regret that the Church is taking so fecking long to resolve it whilst real people really suffer because of their cowardly prevarication. And the biggest regret they should be feeling is that they belong to an institution that harbours bigotry within its ranks right up to the highest levels.

  1. I certainly have respect for him and his position. I wonder what people think about his assertion that it’s more honorable to put forth a critique of the church from the outside rather than the inside.

    I honestly don’t know. I haven’t thought about it that way before. I guess I’ve always assumed that it was better to do so from the inside.

    I’d truly value other people’s thoughts about this.

  2. I have found that if you critique the church from the inside that it is only a matter of time before you are doing it from the outside. At least, Andrew isn’t giving them the satisfaction of throwing him out.
