This well-preserved bowel, replete with both haemorrhoids and cancer belonged to Thomas Thurlow, the Bishop of Durham between 1787 and 1791.

  1. Except I doubt the Anglicans, most of them, consider this a relic. [Was the late Bishop of Durham known for his exceptional holiness? (Unless some of his successors? >;-/)]
