JUST AS WE THOUGHT THINGS COULDN’T GETANY WORSE… A MADPRIEST GANG UPDATE

Having only just got back from Norfolk I received a phone call earlier today in which I was told that police had broken into my father in law's house this morning and found him lying comatose on the floor. So he is now in the same hospital as my mother in law and we are back on the road again tomorrow, travelling all the way back to Norfolk.

I think I shall be ignoring Christmas this year. I've decided to give all my money to the petrol companies and hoteliers of Norwich instead.

JUST AS WE THOUGHT THINGS COULDN’T GETANY WORSE… A MADPRIEST GANG UPDATE — 19 Comments

  1. Sorry about your in-laws’ circumstance. It is difficult more difficult to bear when such things happen during holidays. They are both in in my prayers and you and Mrs. Madpriest. It is hard to see parents suffer. May God give you the strength, wisdom, and resources to deal with the situation.

  2. As I said over on facebook, I’m so, so sorry this is happening. This is horribly difficult. My sincere prayer is that somehow both you and Mrs. MP have the resources and support you need to manage in this very trying time.

    Love to you both.

  3. Prayers, MP, from my household, including The Dog who knows how disorienting this can be. May this be the year Christmas gives to you and your family, instead of the other way ’round.

  4. If I may let a bit of Anglo-Saxon superstition creep in, perhaps if bad things come in threes (Glenna, Mother-in-Law, Father-in-Law)it means you are done now. Prayers also.

  5. Just checking in…hope all is going ok, all things considered. We’re all thinking of you right now, sending light and love to you. Hope we hear from you soon.

If you are in Norwich and need an inexpensive lodging, try the guest house at St Julian’s Church managed by the Community of All Hallows Sisters. I’ve spent many weeks there, and it’s quite adequate, comfortable, and inexpensive.

    Ora pro te!
