BLOODSUCKERS

The Catholic Herald has today let slip one of the most closely guarded secrets of Anglo-Catholicism, namely that for nearly 200 years a sizeable proportion of the clergy of that tradition have been sourced from the legions of the undead. Obviously this has come of a bit of a shock to the Roman Catholics who were just not prepared for what this entails and they have had to put out a special request for donors to come forward to help out.

That explains the gothic revival then.

A word of warning to any nubile, young virgins out there who may be considering jumping the Tiber with our schismatic brethren - DON'T DO IT! Unless, of course, you are into that sort of thing.

  1. So, the Catholics were behind the making of the movie ‘Twilight’?
You can become a Bishop now because you have been in touch with the ‘youth’. This IS me and not my mad mum leaving a comment in the wrong name.

  2. To be honest I don’t think the Roman Catholics knew about that the Anglo-Catholics were vampires. I think it has come as a big surprise to them. But, they are better set up to deal with the living dead than the Church of England. I expect all those Transylvania bloodsuckers were Roman Catholics. But not the ones out of the Rocky Horror Show – they were definitely Anglican 🙂

And thank you so much for dragging my demographic down to a more respectable average age. By balancing you against Grandmère Mimi, I’m back down to about age 50, which is younger than most Liberal MPs.

Pop fiction/culture certainly suggests they are! [Into vampires, zombies, succubi, etc, etc “ad aeternum”]
