My dogs always spokes God’s Own ‘Merkin. What are these Frenchies saying?
Um, I think it’s “the jacket is longer than the vest (waistcoat).”
Maybe that’s some idiom I don’t get?
Facebook is driving me mad!
Ah, that’s our MadPriest. In fine form on this day, as always. 🙂
I see the cat is actually more intelligent. He speaks at least 2 languages.
Is that what the dog is saying, Mimi????
Actually the dogs speak six languages but not enough room in the comic strip to display their talents.
Susan, the dog is saying something very naughty to the cat. Don’t pay a bit of attention to Ellie’s translation. Sorry, Ellie. 🙂 I can’t translate, because the words are too wicked for this blog. Even MadPriest would be shocked and embarrassed.
MadPriest is perfectly capable of reading French as is Ellie obviously. Grandmère Mimi is just a naughty old lady.
You can’t blame an old lady for trying.
Tu lis le français, MadPriest? Je suis choquée! What other talents do you have hidden away?
Gee, Mimi, if it shocks and embarrasses MP, it MUST be a shocker… now where did I put my oldFrench dictionary?…….up til now this has been a very boring day…..hmmmmm! :>)
We do go to school in England and have far more reason to learn French than Americans do. I also learnt Spanish but I have forgotten most of it.
Vous attendez des écoles? Ce n’est pas possible!
For nearly eleven years!
What a nice post and comments Franglais blah-blah.
Well, I’m not surprised we’ve been chattering away in French (somewhat) today. It is Bastille Day, after all!
Liberté, Liberté chérie,Combats avec tes défenseurs!
Why learn English or French? All you need is the same language as God wrote the King James Bible in. American!
Why would God need a merkin?
No mere fig leaves for Him!
The real difference between cats and dogs is this:
The Dog looks up at me and thinks “He feeds me. He takes me for walks. He plays frisbee with me. He must be God.”
The cat looks up at me and thinks “He feeds me. He cleans my litter box. He gives me a lap and scatches me behind the ears. I must be God.”
