I could post the whole of Kirstin's courageous diary entry from today. She would not mind. But I am not going to.

Instead, I am asking every single one of you to read it for yourself at BAREFOOT AND LAUGHING. It is extremely important that you do.

After you have read it you will want to pray.

If you would like to light
a candle as part of your

  1. You’ll also want to cry. I’m sure it is the right decision. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.

  2. She is inspirational, not because she is dying, but because she is truly committed to living forever.

Even if you haven’t been praying the journey with Andee and Kirstin, do read this

  3. Thank you for posting this, MP. As a cancer survivor, I can say that not all of us think that the only brave decision is the one to fight no matter the cost.

  4. Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.

Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love’s sake. Amen.

  5. “…of giving people permission to stop fighting.” Oh yes. And early on in my ministry, one woman taught me how, because she had already made her decision before her recurrence and before I met her. Peace be with all.
