A TEDIUM OF ATHEISTS

From THE BBC:

US atheists are to hold parties in response to an evangelical broadcaster's prediction that Saturday will be "judgement day". The Rapture After Party in North Carolina - "the best damned party in NC" - is among the planned events.

COMMENT: Oh, for goodness sake, can't atheists ever think of anything for themselves? It's about time they grew up and started thinking for themselves rather than riffing on all our ideas. As far as I can make out all the best Rapture jokes have come out of the Christian sub-culture. Of course they have - most of them were mine 🙂

  1. On Facebook, Diana Butler Bass is wondering if we post-evangelicals are going to be raptured or not. I’m assuming that depends if we were eternally secure or not in our previous lives.

  2. I thought my blog on the rapture seeking the motorcycle of a holy person when it becomes available was pretty good. Unfortunately almost no one reads the thing so no one knows. I am hoping a lot of bloggers get raptured. Reduces competition!

  3. You should be more pushy and blatantly publicise your posts, Jim. I do check everybody’s blogs everyday but I only really have time to look for prayer concerns. As I’ve said many times before you are all very welcome to place links to your own blogs in the comments and to post your own stuff on Chin Wag.

Basically, stop being so bloody well-mannered, Jim. I mean, where has it got you in the past 🙂

  4. LOL, point taken. Good manners are their own lack of reward.

I have two posts at the moment that might bore folks here. One at Jim’s Thoughts and another at “Comprehensive Unity which is the blog of the No Anglican Covenant Coalition. They are both at least fairly well written and topical even if I say so who should not. 🙂
