TRADITIONAL LIFE LONG MATINGBETWEEN SWANS UNDER ATTACK

Posted by BOSGUY:

Earlier today (3rd. May 2011) Boston's favorite same sex couple returned to the Boston Public Garden. Romeo & Juliet, the two graceful swans that make the pond in the Public Garden their home are back. Back in 2005 (just a year after same sex marriage was legalized in MA) it was learned that Romeo is in fact a female, which caused many conservatives who like to scream about how unnatural homosexuality is to cry foul (or was it fowl?)!

COMMENT: Personally I blame poor parenting and peer pressure when they were at high school.

  1. I shall make it a point to visit the lovely couple during my two-week stay in Boston in June. It would help to identify them if their feathers were rainbow-colored.

  2. I can’t say that I’ve ever been attacked by lesbians or swans. What can I say? I’m loved by all I meet. Jesus DOES want me for a sunbeam!

  3. OK, KJ.

You know that meeting a swan is exactly the same as meeting a dog. You must go up to them and hold the palm of your hand in front her beak so she can sniff it.

Please make sure there is somebody with a camera nearby when you do this.

  4. Marvelous story, and great photo-cap! Thanks, MP.

(But I hope I’m not standing nearby when Mother Kaeton gets a-hold of you. 😉

  5. Actually, Lisbeth is very highly regarded by the swan community. I think it’s because they have so much in common. I mean, there’s nothing swans like better than to stick their necks out and hiss loudly at any passing male foolish enough to get within range. 🙂

  6. LOL, MadOne!
    Just keep digging. ;-0

    wv=melsaw
I think that’s Olde English for “male saw,” which is what Lisbeth may be wielding when she gets here. 😉

  7. Personally I blame poor parenting and peer pressure when they were at high school.

College, MP (optimally, one of the Seven Sisters). Happens every time.

  8. OH NO, JCF! You are giving away one of our best recruiting strategies: Top-notch women’s schools. Where the women are smart, lesbians rule. 😉

Seems to me: The higher the admission requirements, the more likely that lesbians will get in.

[Lest the humor-challenged take offense: I AM KIDDING!!!!]
