OH, THE SHAME! — 4 Comments

  1. Ohhh that looked painful, they sure are nice dogs but he did seem to enjoy those kitty treats licking his chomps lol . I enjoyed your video , shame on him . ugh.

  2. I think the human is would have deserved it if the alleged perp snapped at him. Why torment the dog? Who cares who got the treats? They weren’t caught in the act so forget it already!

  3. I about DIED of the “Awwwwwww!” factor when I saw this a few days ago . . . and then I thought it was probably staged, and that the dog (assuming he DID do it), didn’t deserve a second shaming.

“Dogs Live in The Now”: a quick correction when caught in the act is one thing, a videotaped “My Pack Leader is Upset w/ Me” agony is another. Bad Pack Leader! Bad! >:-(

  4. The Golden let it happen! 🙂

I don’t feel badly for the dogs at all. Each situation and dog is very different These dogs know how their pack works and I suspect have a rather high quality of life. If this owner told others about the dog’s reaction, which demonstrates an extreme level of canine intelligence, no one wold believe him.

I used to do the same thing with my first shepherd. I knew the moment I walked through the door that mischief had occurred, and so did he. Once found, and of course “Strider” would be conveniently invisible, I’d have him come take a look at it, then suggest that “Maybe you should get in your bed,” and he would.

However, that would not have worked with Shepherd #2, who was the “out of sight, our of mind” level of intelligence. If not caught in the act, nothing ever happened. I just cleaned up the “mischief” and would attempt prevention.
