This is one of my favourite films of all time. It's absolutely stuffed with really intelligent religious allegory and is basically
a retelling of the oldest story in the world.

If you live in the UK and haven't seen it yet, I promise you
that remedying that situation this evening will bring you overwhelming, if somewhat harrowing, pleasure.

  1. …and if you are in America, watch it on Netflix. It is a wonderful film assuredly worth watching and is surely thought-provoking.

  2. Sorry, there’s a documentary about Parisfal on. With contributions from Spielberg and Monty Python. Can’t miss that.

  3. That would be Parsifal, not Parisfal.

My pet parrots like Wagner – they’re squawking along with enthusiasm.

  4. Read the book and watched the movie in my Systematic Theology class in seminary (in conjunction with the section on eschatology) – liked them both!

  5. This movie has absolutely the most realistic battle sequences I have seen in any motion picture. It is chilling to see the modern craft of war…..

  6. The two topical movies I’ve got a jones to see are “The China Syndrome” and “Silkwood.”

  7. I especially like the idea of Bognor Regis as a slave camp …. he he he he he

(Word verification for this comment is “bonsin” which is either a small mis-spelled Japanese tree or something French and naughty. Personally I’d go for the latter).
