QUOTE OF THE DAY

From an anonymous source:

"I once met the HR manager from your diocese. Her comment was 'people may win a tribunal, but they'll never work again.'

"That says quite a bit about the Church of England I think."

  1. If you think that is only true of the dear old C of E, please think again. Most organisations would not touch with the proverbial barge-pole anyone they knew to have taken a previous employer to a tribunal.

  2. I agree, Jan and in a way that makes it far worse. The dear old C. of E. is no different to any other organisation and I have it in the back of my mind that it is supposed to be different.

  3. ‘I once met the HR manager from your diocese. Her comment was ‘people may win a tribunal, but they’ll never work again.’

No surprise there for me. I could have told you that a long time ago, but you don’t want to hear from me about shit like that. 🙂

  4. What Mimi said…

BTW – My wv – PIGRO

I believe that is a statement on this entire thing.

  5. That’s pretty much true, I suspect, in ANY kind of employee lawsuit against a corporation: a litigant (esp. a winner!) will not only never work in the company, they’ll probably never work in the INDUSTRY again (and perhaps other industries as well).

Word to the wise: if you EVER sue a corporation, sue for $$$$$$$ to be set up for life, or don’t bother.
