IF PRAYER DOESN’T WORK . . .

From THE CITIZEN:

Anglican Church followers in Zanzibar on Thursday evening stormed into a plot said to have been offered to a daughter of a senior politician at Mbweni to protest against the move, claiming that the piece of land belonged to their church. The worshipers demolished infrastructure supporting a building under construction and emptied all water reservoirs. They claimed the land was earmarked for church cemetery expansion.

The demolition work was preceded by special prayers presided over by Canon Mathew Mhagama from Mkunazini Church,a stone-throw from the site. The Canon said the prayers were meant to appeal to God to soften the woman’s heart so that she lets go the plot voluntarily.
