  1. My mother has a pet flap in her back door, the kitchen door. The cats and dogs go in and out as they please. She was not happy though when one of them taught a little pig to use the door. Luckily he quickly got too big to use the door.

  2. Between the washing machine that would go for walks on its own until it fell over on its side on the lawn, and the cats training little pigs to come in and out the kitchen flap, I really wish I’d grown up with Dah-veed’s family.

  3. “I dare not think of what would happen if cats developed thumbs.”

Apparently you have never seen Red Dwarf….

  4. My parents had a cat that was quite competent at opening an interior sliding door and did so frequently.

  5. “Dogs have masters whom they love and obey. Cats have staff” Sir Winston Churchill.

And humans should be excused from door opening duty because?

  6. If your doors have handles, not knobs, then a cat can jump up and open them. We had a cat that did that. Fortunately (this was an apartment) it couldn’t open the door to the outside, which was made of sterner stuff.
