NEW "TOTAL DIET" MAY BE ANSWERTO WORLD FOOD SHORTAGE

From THE METRO:

82-year-old Indian Prahlad Jani is being studied by military scientists after claiming that he has lived for 70 years without food or drink. He has so far spent six days without food or water under constant observation and according to doctors, his body has shown no adverse effects to the lack of sustenance.

Jani claims to have left home aged seven before becoming a wandering holy man in Rajasthan. He also claims that he is sustained by a goddess who pours 'elixir' through a hole in his palate.

"If his claims are verified, it will be a breakthrough in medical science," said Dr G Ilavazhagan, director of the Defence Institute of Physiology Allied Sciences.

  1. wasn’t it military scientists who decided you might be able to kill goats just by staring at them in the recent film Men Who Stare At Goats (based on a true set of events, I believe)?

Are all military scientists engaged in endeavours that are a total and complete waste of time?

  2. There’s a Holy Man in India, no joke
Who neither eats, nor drinks, what a bloke!
    While watched day and night
    ‘Twas confimed that he’s right
He only ate McDonalds and Coke!
