The Primate of the Anglican Communion in Nigeria, Peter Akinola, has decried the quest for recognition in churches and advised Christians to refrain from such negative tendencies.
In his sermon at the dedication of St. Andrew’s Ultra Modern Church, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu, on Wednesday, Mr. Akinola listed vices such as gossip and in-fighting as attitudes that were counterproductive in the house of God.

It’s too bad there weren’t some Nigerian bishops in the conversations with Canadian bishops at St. Andrew’s House (see the following post). That dialogue seems to me to be a very good sign.
