PROPOSED LEGISLATION PUTSBISHOP’S NOSE OUT OF JOYNT

From THE TELEGRAPH:

COMMENT: I was just wondering, bishop – does “public sector jobs” include, let’s say, the post of chaplain at a state university? It’s just that the ones under your authority seem more worried about becoming unemployed due to religious agendas rather than secular ones.

PROPOSED LEGISLATION PUTSBISHOP’S NOSE OUT OF JOYNT — 4 Comments

  1. Is the Bishop of Winchester offering to pay the wages of those who give up jobs in the public sector for the sake of their faith? I could do quite well out of that – no more commuting expenses!

  2. Has he actually read the bill? I doubt it very much. If anything the bill provides much more protection for people of faith and thanks to the churches, ensures that they can continue to discriminate against homosexuals in matters of employment. People ‘of faith’ who are in jobs objectionable to their faith, should express their faith and leave. Or isn’t their faith that strong?
